From 13th to 16th February 2019, six organic certified producers from Republic of Moldova will attend BIOFACH2019, Nuremberg, Germany. BIOFACH, the world’s leading trade fair for organic food, is the place where people share their passionate interest in organic food, get to know each other and exchange views, and this since 1990. This event is a perfect opportunity for all the organic producers, partners and potential new customers to meet personally and to be inspired by the sector’s latest trends.
The participating organic producers are members of the Organic Value Chain Alliance (MOVCA) – a business association for organic agriculture and produces in Republic of Moldova. The Moldovan organic producers will present their companies and products to the whole community and will analyse the market to position themselves for the competition at the same time.
We believe that even if Moldovan organic producers are new to the organic market, they can offer great products both as quality and pricing. Moldova has a range of excellent products to export worldwide such as grains, fruits, nuts, wine and many other products that meet the organic certification criteria, mentioned Alexei Micu, Executive Director MOVCA.
We hope the participation in the largest organic exhibition will serve as an impetus for the development of the organic sector in Moldova as this sector continues to experience worldwide a strong growth in terms of area, producers, markets and demand for organic produce. Most importantly, organic agriculture is increasingly seen as an important way of addressing food insecurity, land degradation, pest problems, poverty and climate change. A growing data show that society and the environment would benefit best from the services organic farming and organic food provide.
