Liechtenstein Development Service at Chișinău Maker Faire 2026

The Liechtenstein Development Service (LED) representatives opened the Chișinău Maker Faire 2026, an event that showcases how creativity, technology, and the maker spirit come together in Moldova.

In her welcoming words, Miriam Speh LED project manager underlined that innovation does not depend on the size of a country or a city, but on the ecosystem that cherishes innovators and makers.

“Innovation thrives when young people have access to tools, mentorship, and communities that encourage them to create rather than simply consume technology” stated Ms. Speh.

This year, over 1,000 visitors and participants explored more than 30 exhibition stands featuring robotics, 3D printing, drones, AI, digital craftsmanship, and emerging technologies. More than 20 hands‑on workshops and interactive experiences gave attendees the chance to build, program, solder, and turn ideas into tangible projects.

LED is proud to support the organisation of the Maker Faire to celebrate the maker spirit and expand the community of innovators of Moldova.

For six years, ATIC has been organising the Maker Faire in Moldova bringing together makers, exhibitors, mentors, volunteers, and partners, and connecting Moldova to the global network of Maker Fairs and Maker Movement.

This activity is co-funded by LED part of the Youth Maker Club project implemented by ATIC.
