The hottest technology festival returned to Chisinau with a series of innovative and exciting activities, meetings with interesting creators and innovators.
Liechtenstein Development Services Foundation was one of the partners of the Mini Maker Faire technology festival, which took place on October 13 at Tekwill and FabLab Chisinau. The festival aimed to inform and expand the community of technology, science and product development project enthusiasts.
FabLab Chisinau and Tekwill hosted spaces where participants had the opportunity to test modern technologies – Arduino, 3D scanning, laser cutting, Raspberry Pi and participate in a series of workshops – Repair Cafe, cotton canvas painting workshop and woodworking workshop. And in the Expo area, participants admired an exhibition of innovative techniques created by young people and attended various practical demonstrations featuring robots and drones.
The technology festival brought together many curious and enthusiasts in technology, science and prototyping new products, including young people from technical vocational education.
The festival was interactive and educational, giving each participant the opportunity to try out fascinating, interesting things, to develop technological skills in a fun and enjoyable way.
Supporting the technology festival aligns with the strategy of supporting technical vocational education (TVE) in the Republic of Moldova. LED Moldova is committed to supporting the development of a range of non-formal learning activities that offer VET students new perspectives, new experiences, and new skills that will stimulate their interest and curiosity for technology. Together with the Centre of Excellence in Information and Communication Technology, Tekwill, we aim to promote innovative concepts in education, innovation and collaboration in the community of young technology enthusiasts.
