Overall Goal:
Increased employment rates of VET graduates in the selected sectors (Transportation and Electronics).
Project Outcomes:
- Partner VET institutions are capacitated to effectively engage with private sector.
- Partner VET institutions are capable to provide labour-market oriented training in the selected sectors.
Project Outputs:
- Partner managers are trained in Partnership Management for effectively engaging the private sector in VET delivery.
- Partner institutions devise Partnership Development Plans on effectively engaging the private sector in VET delivery.
- Relevant internship opportunities in companies are provided.
- A functional Steering Committee (SC) is established in the selected sectors to coordinate the delivery of updated study programs.
- New occupational and qualification standards are developed.
- VET curricula are significantly updated (2 in Electronics and Automation and 3 in Transportation).
- Learning materials and assessment toolkits are developed for selected occupations.
- Teachers in VET partner institutions are trained on the revised curricula.
- Education facilities and training labs are improved in partner institutions.
Project Summary:
The project will build on previously reinforced expertise and successful results in developing normative, methodological, and institutional capacity of VET (CONSEPT phases I-IV) and will expand to new economic sectors. Simultaneously, the project will resort to a novel lens to address the VET-labour market dynamics, focusing on public-private partnerships and enhanced work-based learning as a condition for demand-driven professional qualifications and expanded opportunities for gainful employment.
