Nadejda Burciu is the new Country Director of the Liechtenstein Development Service - Moldova office as of September 1, 2024.
Ms. Burciu was State Secretary of the Ministry of Justice for two years, responsible for prisons, probation, digitization, apostille and national archives.
Prior to this role, Ms. Burciu worked as project manager and subsequently as Deputy Director of the Moldova Office of Liechtenstein Development Services, where she coordinated and monitored four projects: GirlsGoIT, CREATIVO, SECI II which aimed to introduce new trades of installing renewable systems, as well as a project aimed at preventing bullying in schools.
Nadejda Burciu also worked as a political assistant in the US Embassy in Moldova, Senior Project Coordinator at the Norwegian Mission of Experts for the Promotion of the Rule of Law in Moldova (NORLAM), as a communication specialist at the Resident Representative Office of the International Monetary Fund, as well as specialist in the protocol and press service of the Ministry of Finance.
Ms Burciu’s volunteer activities include membership of the LRCM (CRJM) Board from July 2024, Chairperson of the Board of the Women's Law Center (CDF) in 2020-2022, and offered mentorship within the "Inspire her" project for female police officers in 2016.
Being awarded the Chevening scholarship, Nadejda completed a Master of Science in Comparative Public Policy at the University of Edinburgh, UK in 2019.
