In Moldova
LED started its activity in September 2007 with primary focus on the sector of Education. LED aims at contributing to the improvement of the education system, in general and vocational education, in particular. The impact of LED activity in the Republic of Moldova would be to enhance better economic perspectives for people.
LED supports various humanitarian and technical assistance projects. Besides funding and monitoring projects, LED is implementing its own project Strengthening Vocational Training in Moldova (CONSEPT). The outcomes of LED funded projects are closely linked to the increase of competency based and demand driven educational delivery.
LED underpins opportunities to develop a synergetic approach to the issues pertaining to human resources development. Therefore, LED is looking for ways to strengthen the partnership with other donors, relevant stakeholders, including government ministries, NGOs and other multilateral organizations by close collaboration to address the educational issues at stake.
